2024 most wanted features

It was a response to your question, not a question in itself.

@s.voltolini it all depends on the size of the trades. If getting a better price saves me £100 or £1000 on the trade paying £4 fee is irrelevant. If I am trading £5 then I want a free commission.

FX fees are significant if you have to convert currencies but SIPPs will allow you to hold funds in multiple currencies so generally don’t need to convert in order to trade

There is any place where someone could learn how do that? A kind of tutorial would be nice.

I think the 2024 most wanted features poll needs to be segmented, just not sure how best to segment it.

So here’s my 2 mins thought process

Group 1 (ISA’s) - LISA, JISA, flexible ISA’s etc
Group 2 (Investing) - pies within pies, better pie features, dividend dash board etc
Group 3 (pensions) - SIPPs
Group 4 (trading) - Options trading, more pre/after trading in cfd etc

The idea is to enable T212 to cater for a diverse needs of their customer base. So in formulating the strategy, T212 can target the highest votes within each of the categories mentioned - just my 2 cents tho :man_shrugging:

It would be great to see the details of holdings in the pie. For example, in the pie containing VWCE & EUNL (etfs), I would like to see how much overlapping of those 2 etfs and how much I hold breaking down.

For me I would love to see Options Trading introduced, it would beat Robinhood to the UK market place and I’m sure it would be a very popular feature for users.

The ability to sell covered calls/puts would be another way to create a steady income stream.

Secondly it would be great if you could introduce SIPPs, would happily even pay a small monthly fee for them.

When the moving shares feature goes live I will be moving my ISAs from HL if possible and I would do the same if I could with SIPPs if they were introduced.

More ways to filter Investments - By percent fall or gain or holding value.

How about getting T212 on Tradingview’s list of accepted UK brokers?

Mutual Funds like Fundsmith etc would be amazing but I’m not sure how realistic it would be. 1 thing I really would like to see is pie level history so I can be confident I didn’t miss a nephew’s birthday. @George mentioned it here as an upcoming feature back in 2020

What is the point of pies within pies?

Here’s my own use case. I have a pie with my regular ETFs but I also have another pie with Japanese value stocks for which no good ETF exists.

With the pies within pies feature I would be able to combine them in a single pie.

It would be useful to see your portfolio gains/losses during specific timepoints like 1 day, week or month !!!

I know what it means to have a pie within a pie but I still don’t see the point really. I manually top up but presumably you can automate to pay into both pies? You can view both easily (even if you obsessively check every day). If you really wanted you could put them in a single pie but imo splitting by the scenarios (normal/jp) is better anyway. I almost never open a pie but when I do I’ve never thought ā€œI wish I could go parent->jp->back->regular rather than having to go jp->back->regularā€

The only scenario I could kind of see it being useful is for people outside the UK where they have the option to sell after n years invested for 0% capital gains. In that case since T212 doesn’t give an option to sell specific shares (not sure if it’s documented anywhere if they sell oldest first) then they could have 1 pie for each day they purchase, even if it’s the same thing purchased each month…then it makes sense to have ā€œmain fund → 01-01-24, 01-02-24 etcā€. But if they guarantee oldest are sold first then 1 pie is good enough too

Dividend calendar would be a nice addition alongside having notifications of upcoming dividends with information such as ex dividend date and an estimation of what you dividend could be based upon the shares you own.

To add that having the months that the dividend is paid into the stock information would be useful.

Another suggestion is adding the standard financial information for REITS like:

  • Net operating income (NOI)
  • Funds from operations (FFO)
  • Adjusted funds from operations (AFFO)
  • Net Asset Value (NAV)

Ability to:

  • See the spread, especialy for illiquid instruments.
  • enter a limit order for the whole pie.
  • enter an order for an instrument within a pie.
  • (temporarily) disable a slice, 0% slice maybe?
  • import/export N shares in addition to exporting in %
  • Autovest at different time of the day

In the desktop version, clicking on an instrument within a pie should open the instrument details instead of doing nothing.

Thanks

Self balancing is much easier.

Hi @Momchil.G and 212 team,

I would like some kind of ā€˜News’ tab on the app, to keep us up to date with the latest news. It would be handy as we wouldn’t need to keep on checking other apps for the news.

Also for each stock you own, a news section dedicated for that particular stock would be handy; just below the stock information.

Might be complicated and I don’t know any legal bits or what ever, but you could get news feeds from Sky News, BBC etc.

Not sure if it would be possible but thought I would suggest.

We’re one step ahead on that one. Make sure to update your app, and you’ll see the most recent market news on your Home screen :newspaper:

You can also check out the newsfeed directly from the instrument’s page in your portfolio or while exploring stocks and ETFs on your watchlist.

Please consider giving TWR as an option in the green Returns.
Also then the graphical display has it’s focus changed say from one year to one month the Simple return also changes to show the returns for the month, or other selected period.

I think it’s about time they also try to implement a dividend tracker and also portfolio gain for current day and not just 1w or 1m. So percentage change for the day
