AutoInvest funds

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can help, is it possible to move free funds into my pie, it’s a small amount I received from a dividend so it doesn’t meet the £20 minimum deposit limit, but I don’t want it just sitting there doing nothing

Thanks in advanced, sorry if this has already been answered

No. This is not possible at the moment.

Thanks! Do we know when this will be added?

Don’t know. (I am not on the staff, just a regular contributor of posts.)

Oh no worries! Thanks for answering the question though

I am hoping this also comes in the future too and also the ability of moving funds from pie free funds back to our main free funds. It’s slightly annoying that I get a few pence stuck in pie free funds, although completely understand why it happens. To be honest it isn’t a big deal, so understand if the T212 team have much more important things to look at implementing.

Would be nice to be able to freely move these backwards and forwards to use as required
I’m slightly OCD about these things :relaxed:

I think you can actually withdraw the cash from free pie funds if you go to the withdraw section and type the amount you have in

Thanks @Jphilips7 I wasn’t aware of this! Just tried with a pie that had 2p in free funds and the option was available!

Can’t believe I hadn’t tried this previously, D’oh. Thanks again :+1:

That’s alright! Yeah I found it out by luck when I was seeing if I put get the free funds into the pie
Glad I could help

You can move money from free funds into a pie if it is 1 GBP/EUR/USD or more.

Oh it doesn’t seem to let me? Says it needs to be £20 at least, am I doing something wrong?

I too moved my Dividends paid from an Ex-Date Pie to free funds but I am unable to import from free cash to Pies’ Cash that I have moved the relevant slice to in order to allocate to DRIP.

I am assuming this is not possible to do.

Dividend reinvestment works only if a stock was held inside the pie on the ex-dividend date. The dividend will then be received inside the pie and will remain as pie cash (if the amount is less then your pie’s minimum investment amount) or it will be reinvested (DRIP) if the received dividend amount is equal or above your pie minimum investment.

At the moment, using Account’s Free Funds is available only for Manual pie investing, and if the received dividends are below your pie’s minimum investment amount, the account’s free funds will not be moved to your pie cash.

+1 for this feature.

I was trying to make a trade in a pie, it said add funds in the pie transaction screen, which I did but then its dumped the new cash into to the main area. So I cant move it into the pie. really annoying.

Currently you can’t auto invest with the cash in your account. When will this feature be available?

So any small funds that won’t normally be used get them into it? Spend your change basically  class

Hey, so I was looking at the auto invest and the “ideal” seems to be youd buy your little bit every single day rather than say weekly or monthly semi annually etc.

But this would lead to a terribly messy bank account with a daily withdrawl.

Would it be possible to have it so we could add cash to our pie/our free funds with say a monthly direct debit (always good to have the Bill’s and savings come out on payday heh)

And then set autoinvest to take the money from that pool within the account rather than having to be an individual bank withdrawal that’s all invested in one day.

Ie I want to put 500 a month in and have it invested daily,

That’s either 30ish bank transactions or I could have 1 withdrawl of 500 and then 30(well less weekends/nontrading days) asset purchases in the app from the 500 free funds?

Maybe a notification if the funds are below the autoinvest target?

:clock3: - AutoInvest using accounts free funds is an Upcoming feature. More details here.

+1 Would also like to know this. Auto invest is a great feature compared to other platforms. Can we have an option to autoinvest uninvested money, that way we can fund our accounts periodically with direct debit from our banks.
