This was already flagged to us and we deployed a fix earlier this week. You still won’t see the house number in the UI when confirming the address, but the information will be passed on to our card processor
Great, thanks for clarifying
Damn still didnt work. i even terminated my virtual card for a new one
This is an odd one. Tried my new card in local ATM and it wouldn’t even let me put the card in. Tried another card and worked fine. The T212 card doesn’t appear to have a magstripe and i wonder if the ATM checks for magstripe before it allows the card to be inserted?! Anyone have any ideas? Our local ATM might be an old model
Klarna seems to be excluded as a cashback retailer. Does that seem normal? I’m slightly surprised at that.
This affects me also as my card has not arrived after three weeks. Do I need to reorder it? Pretty disappointed with this cockup given we are paying for the physical card and for postage
Welcome to the Community, @prendyo
We’ll be able to offer a refund in such cases. If the card doesn’t arrive within the standard timeframe, report it as missing from the dashboard and then terminate it. Once terminated, contact us via the in-app chat so we can issue a refund. You can then order a new card, as we have now deployed a fix for the mentioned house number issue
I’ve checked this for you and can confirm that Klarna’s MCC is 6012, meaning that it is categorised as “Services and merchandise from financial institutions.” All merchants with this code are excluded from the card’s cashback program.
Changing the colour of the virtual card.
Yes, this is a silly thing. But I picked green with I opened the virtual card. I’m now in an orange mood, but can’t see where to change it.
Is there a way?
Thanks.
Hi
Did you get Curve to change it to personal???
Mine has also registered within Curve as a business card.
Yes mate. They say they fixed it so it would show as personal going forwards. Worked for me.
Great news! I’ve asked them to change it. So just waiting now
The appearance cannot be customized once a colour has been picked. What you can do is cancel your current virtual card and pick a new one with the desired colour.
Oh no, I can’t keep cancelling it, I change from an Green mood, to an Orange mood, to a blue mood, who knows what next. lol
Green it is.
Will the physical card reflect my virtual card colour? A nice green physical card will look good as I flash it about, well, until G pay is supported in a few months, then it will look nice in my wallet never to be seen . lol
We aim to add more colour options, but still can’t provide an ETA when the rest of the physical card styles will become available. As soon as I have more info, I’ll share it here.
Just mentioning in case it’s relevant to someone else - my physical card finally turned up during the week after several weeks. I suspect the delay may have been because whoever printed the letter omitted the flat number from the address (bad mail merge?), so it was just my name, the road, a postcode, the city, and the country.
Thankfully my building has its own postcode and presumably the postie was able to guess from the name which flat it was for?
No idea if I somehow managed to stuff that up, or there’s a hole of some sort in the addressing process somewhere, but mentioning it all the same.
The incomplete address was a T212 issue that they have now adressed
I’ve applied for the 212 card and started using it. Only after I paid for the physical card and made my first purchase did it prompt me for a response from the app, which I hadn’t installed. The website gives the distinct impression you should be able to use the card without the app. I don’t particularly want to put another piece of cruft on my mobile just to use this card. Is there going to be some option to either authorise via the website or via SMS (as happens with my bank) so I don’t need the app, or did I miss this?
hi, I have received my card a few weeks ago but yet to find an opportunity to use it. I have following questions in this regards and hope someone from T212 responds.
-
Is there a time limit as to how soon I should use the card after I get it (Banks usually expect it to be used first time within 30 days).
-
I notice that the card I was sent does not have the usual ‘strip’ at the back that all bank cards or credit cards have. Does this mean I cannot use this card to swipe for a payment in the card machine. Do I have to use only chip and pin for payments?
-
Is this card suitable for contactless (touch) payments?
I’ll have to double-check this with the team. I’ll let you know once I have an update regarding this
There is no such limit
There is no magnetic stripe since this element carries sensitive information and is considered less secure compared to newer technologies. In addition to that, Mastercard officially mandated that new cards should preferably be issued without a magnetic stripe from 2024. Chip/PIN and contactless payments are both possible. We’ll also add Apple and Google Pay support as soon as we can
