I donāt know if these topics were mentioned, but hereās a list thatās of importance to my trading - features already present on the platform. [Advanced view]
Quick trading & Lock Default Entry option for each market. I donāt like to set up my entry amount for every trade. Once I got used to it on this platform I got spoiled.
As of yesterday (havenāt checked today) I canāt click & open my current orders from the main trading menu - only on the side.
Every time I check show buy price option, it resets the moment i reopen the window. this one is very important.
Adjusting the color of the vertical / horizon lines [chart settings] resets when I reopen the chart or when i even switch from one chart and back, without even closing. itās just glitched.
Include spreads for CFD. That should have been one of the very first things to implement. weird.
the option to close my trades without confirmation.
Implement - daily PNL meter. This one is a no-brainer. no one would ever protest against that feature.
Privacy mode must return!
ā p.s.
9. I should be able to save my template in the chart settings menu
Hello I noiced that when accessig the history menu from the dropdown the new app is missing important information currently available on the legacy app:
*** REALISED PROFIT/LOSS**
*** TOTAL DIVIDENDS**
*** DEPOSITS**
*** WITHDRAWALS**
This is an incredibly useful and time saving feature, please include it on the new app and also the mobile app if possible.
I really donāt like a mobile like experience on desktop. It looks for me like missing UX usability tests for desktop users. Why we are forced to move to the new version? The original version wasnāt perfect, however comparing to the new app, I appreciate the design of original desktop app.
Not fit for purpose, definitely not designed for PC. Looks and feels cheap! Charts dont update fast, price movements dont reflect on overall portfolio instantly. Dont understand why take something that is working perfectly and ruin it in the name of āimprovingā I trade/invest on my PC and if the legacy app is discontinued after 14/04 I will look elsewhere to invest! This is definitely a no for PC use!
How do you manage to design a popup showing a single dividend details not fit in 3440x1440?!
Why is everything so big and comically spaced out?
I got a 3440x1440 monitor and I have to scroll on every screen/popup/modal. I actually tried browsing almost every menu/info. Nothing fits the screen, no numbers line up.
Transaction history looks like a blog post rather than a ledger.
this is going horribly backwardsā¦
Was this designed by those āproduce an indie pay to win mobile game a day on orderā kind of offshore companies?
can you at least give the option to keep using the old oneā¦
I am going to copy the text in this screenshot and paste it into an empty text box on windows⦠WTF is that?!
I have just logged in and am greeted by a message welcoming me to the new platform. Iāve been using it since the Beta was released. It has deleted everything I had setup.
On the charts there are now blue horizontal lines (in my ISA). No explanation. Some seem to be alerts but others seem to want to sell my entire holding in the company with a single click. I would hate this. Is it a joke 3 days early?
Each blue line has what appears to be multiple buttons on the left (but I am terrified to click anything for fear it will do something bad/unexpected). I am using split view charts to display 8 charts on the same screen so these blue buttons take up a ridiculous portion of the chart even on a ultra high-res screen and donāt disappear (ie donāt appear just on mouseover).
This seems to be taking more steps back that it is forward
I went through the same experience yesterday, I had spend a couple of hours yesterday afternoon recreating / migrating all my charts from Legacy to the new app hoping that it was āTHEā final one after receiving the notification. For some reason I got booted out of the system very close the end of US play, only to find out that all my work had vanished when I logged back.
I think after the system cutover yesterday, if you have not logged off and back on again, the instance gets reset on your first reboot. I have since then logged on and off several times ; my work has stayed in place the way I had left it. So I think we will not experience the deletion ever again.
I have horizontal blue lines too but figured out these are the price alerts I had set in the past (You will find them even in your legacy instance). You can get rid of these lines by deleting your price alerts.
The blue line that you refer to as wanting to delete your entire holding also existed in the Legacy version. Remember the solid marker line (number of shares / average price / X ) in the legacy version. The new app shows this in a box which I find intuitive compared to the legacy blob!. I I may be wrong, but you could not get rid of this marker line in the Legacy version. In the new app however, if you donāt want to see it, you can get rid of it as below:
ā Chart Settings > Trades >> Positions
Uncheck this and you will not see the line and your holding details. BTW, if you click on this blue line X, it opens the āSellā screen as it used to do in the Legacy. So you cannot sell all your holdings unless you consciously proceed through the selling process.
Hope the above helps.
We are going through a disruptive adoption cycle, I am having few of my own challenges with the new app. T212 support has always been very responsive, I am sure with their help we will quickly get to the other side.
FIRSTLY - How do you open more than one instance (copy) of the same chart. I am looking at UK 100 cfd and In the old version I have three charts open, one for the 5 minute chart, one for the 30minute or 1hour chart, and one for the 4hour char. I used to be able to do this so that I could flip between different time frames. Now each time I change the time frame I have to spend 7minutes and 38 seconds trying to adjust the length across the time scale across the bottom and up the side.
The work around used to be the scale information was saved with the template button. This does not work now with the āsave indicator templateā or the āsave drawing templateā that I have found so, SECONDLY how do you exactly adjust the scale across the bottom of the charts and up the price ruler as well.
THIRDLY the buy price and sell price charts, are the same in UK 100 cfd I am guessing this is an error as this sometimes happened with the old version app too.
I love the new position lines in an exact place feature. Also it seems you can have more pictures and stuff on the charts.
@IntInv thanks your comments help. I didnāt have the blue line for my total holding in either the legacy or beta (a little worrying that one person did and another didnāt). Thus it was completely new yesterday and I was concerned that the āxā would be a single click close close all (ie no dialogue box to confirm). I know the cfd accounts have single click execution which I would absolutely hate (weāre all different).
Thanks for explaining where the setting is to control the average position line.
Hopefully all of our settings donāt disappear with on the 15th April (when the legacy is now scheduled to close) or when they do updates.
Historically I have found T212 support to be great but that hasnāt been the case recently (just the opposite).
I will leave this platform if the new interface for PC remains permanent and I am unable to switch back to the previous view. I prefer to prepare the amount of stocks to buy and purchase them instantly when the timing is optimal. I dislike this bulky interface.
I am not sure if you are looking for feedback, but here are my first impressionsā¦
It is so busy and navigation is not straightforward. Even the slide bars are not user friendly and it feels like you are trying to shoehorn the tablet / phone version on to a PC and it feels clunky.
Normally an App for a device is a simplified version of a web version due to the limitations of phones and tablets. The touch screen experience is normally much more graphical and the options are often reduced, needing the user to revert back to their PC for certain functions.
What seems to have happened here is that you have copied a touch screen experience and presented it for PC users. It is really difficult to navigate a design that is meant to be for touch screens.
This continues with simple things like the page width. The navigation menu at the top with Home, Shares, Search, Social and Menu seem to open pages of varying widths. It makes no sense for this to be the case for the web version.
I still love T212, but I am not sure if this is a step forward and I will miss the legacy version when you withdraw it in a fortnight.
Also, you used to be able to see the gearing % for each stock, which I used to use a lot and found very useful. I canāt find it on the new version. If itās there and Iāve missed it, would be grateful if someone could point out to me where to find it.
@melvin7020 You will see the three icons to the right of your screen when you are on the Advanced Tab. At the moment the pic shows two adjacent screens selected.( the icon before the gear) . If you are staring with a single chart, it will be only a square (single chart). You can click on it to select as many the max number this new app allows (I donāt know if it is 8 or 12)
@melvin7020 once you are on the multi screen mode, you can select stock, period (1m, 5m 15mā¦etc) for each screen. You can adjust vertical scale (price) by righ clicking the scale (moving the mouse up expands the scale, down contracts). you can do this for each screen separately. The new app keeps your copies in the cloud so your settings will stay on your subsequent logins unless you change them.
I have not come across a Save Chart Template option yet. The only place it could save a custom template, I am guessing, would have been in the Chart Setting window where you can set your charts to āDefaultā setting. But I see no option to name and store a custom template here. If it is somewhere else, I am yet to find it.
The great part is, whatever changes you make to the chart, they stay in your successive sessions so that to me is same as saving a custom template and therefore there is no need to save it elsewhere. this includes your price scales, your time scales, indicators and candle positions, this I find absolutely useful as I then donāt have to set charts every time I log in.
Thank you for this. I wanted full pages that are separate not partial pages. I am on a computer and fortunately I can just duplicate a tab. This used to be the case in the old app, but then that was discontinued. Being able to have tabs open for the same instrument would be best though.
I switch from buy chart to sell chart quite a bit, and all the images have to be drawn again between the buy and sell charts, and for each of the different time frame. Surprisingly I think I might like this.
The buy chart and sell chart being the same would be good to get fixed. Hopefully after the bank holiday. Also I can not find the contact us anywhere! Or the role back button that apparently was hidden in settings.
