fair enough but thereās a global pandemic happening, donāt you think that might have affected the level of service you received? I think itās quite harsh to judge any companies customer service right now as the pandemic has had crippling affects and recovery is ongoing for many companies still.

I canāt for the life of me see the issue. Everything went through super smooth.
I got my free share of UAA, iām happy with that - Ā£7 in the plus for a click of the button.
No hassle or grief, confirmation alert messages the whole way through, no bother at all.
My ISA was full so they deposited it in the invest account, which is a nice touch.
So, I made sure I did not use any adblocker, it all went fine, shares landed the same day.
This thread might as well be closed now in my eyes.
Trading212 did their job and honored the free promotion.
Glad yours worked for you. I have had issues previously with the free share scheme. As others have stated, the free share definitely helps someone who has never invested before, invest.
I actually invited a lot of my works colleagues once, we all did it at the same time, followed the link, no adblocker etc⦠In the end I contacted T-212 and they āmanually approvedā them. Not sure why they need manually approving but it may be to stop people abusing the system?
I have also noticed actually that I havenāt received a free share for someone I invited last week, I will shoot them a quick message and let you all know the outcome
I forgot to use the link when I signed up to T212. So encouraged a friend to sign up to get a free share Really wouldnāt have cared either way in the end.
I can still sleep happily at nightā¦knowing I have one but could have had two or in fact zero.

Good to source out the āgenuineā missing shares but not to rant about your value of something for nothing.

I checked all of your tickets (4 in total, correct me if Iām wrong) and I cannot agree with your statement that our team provided:
vague and somewhat confrontational customer service.
So, although the referral link wasnāt used accordingly, yet our team walked the extra mile and offered you a goodwill gesture.

To be fair this is probably a lesson to all that, if you do have a grievance such as the above, going the DM route would be the most prudent course of action.
Not sure opening it up to the opinions of the community does the morale of the complainant any good when all they are looking for is an explanation and/or resolution.
its not actually free though lol its a terminology used to avoid a conflict of interest on platform
When I joined the platform, I was still learning how to use it and I accidentally deleted my free share (it had randomly appeared in my pending orders tab - 1 share of Snapchat). Had I known it was the free gift, I obviously wouldnāt have cancelled the pending order.
I raised this to the Trading212 and they refused to re-instate it, which is rather unfair and really poor customer service. I had waited 2 weeks and they only bothered to look into the ticket once I came onto this forum and raised the issue.

So to summarise,
I tried email support and directly messaging the admins, referral was declined in both instances.
This is a shame as:
- Referee 100% used my link with NO adblockers
- Referee contacted support and was manually issued a share
- I spent my own time getting someone to sign up and invest⦠would be nice to be rewarded for it.
Iāve seen people spamming the referral links exploiting it, advising deposit a Ā£1 get your free share and run⦠this is annoying as Iām referring genuine people who are using your service and not being rewarded for it.
Please can someone explain?

Hi George, can you DM me also please?. I referred two people. One I got a free share for (whoopee!), the other I didnāt. Both told me they used my link though so not sure whether one actually didnāt or just that the free share didnāt come through.

it would be great to have a tracking system in place on our end so that we can see just who has used our links so we can follow up with them. Im not here to spam freebies so it would be useful to see just exactly who has used our links to further help them so they have a better user experience
