I donāt think designers (or anyone with an executive decision capacity) has ever seen the website on a browser on a real screen. Most likely they are designing on mobile phones or 8" tablets?
If some of these screens were āleaked sketches from a brainstormā itād have been embarrassing, let alone something released to prod.
Honestly itās almost a talent to āfitā 7-8 lines of transactions using 100% of the height of a 4K screen and about 6% of the width.
Honestly, genuinely, the text is so comically big, it really makes you uncomfortable, almost nauseous
Where is the struggle with the interface size? I donāt see it.
Has anyone tried zoom features of their browser at all before kicking up a fuss.
I have a 4K monitor onWin11⦠running at 3840*2160 at 175% scaleā¦
Chrome zoom level at 80% (to reduce text/page size just on t212) and these are my results and it works great⦠The browser window only takes up half the screen space horizontally
This is possibly the difference @StockHog100 . I wonder how many users will have this configuration on their laptops or desktop setups.
I have requested @Wit since long to release a cheat sheet / User guide / Specifications for the new app. This will help resolve most interface issues as the users will find a place to refer to the recommended settings (and options).
I know compiling user documentation takes time but the sprint release notes should have most information already to compile one, we just need to give them some time.
since there are so many posts in this threads things get flooded fast, but here. Iāve also attached a few screenshots⦠keep in mind my monitor is UW with 21:9 aspect ratio. (I almost never full screen my browser but in these screenshots it is full screened just for the comparisons sake)
I wrote a few snide and sarcastic responses to this insight, but removed them before posting, honestly I donāt want to antagonize anyone. But what other website promotes the need to zoom in/out because of their design. Also this website is not a blog post, the zoom level does not improve the scarcity of information you see on the screen.
Thank you for that. As I mentioned before, weāre open to feedback but letās keep things civil and constructive.
Where have we promoted zooming in or out?
In any case, weāve heard your (our clientsā) feedback about certain UI elements being excessively large, especially on certain laptop/monitor setups.
Weāre investigating UI scaling solutions to better accommodate the huge variety of screen resolutions and pixel densities across iOS/Android/Tablets/Web Browsers. This will take a while, so donāt expect it in the coming weeks, but it is something that we are going to tackle.
The social panel works but text from āYour Investments, Key Ratios, Financials, General Information & Instrument Detailsā panels are still un-selectable.
Thanks man,
Iām sure stuff will get sorted eventually, but 1440p 4K Widescreen monitors are pretty standard nowadays ā for a lot desktop users, especially ātradersā.
Dual monitor support / widescreen / 4K functionality would be great as well down the road, as I am sure many reading this message have two monitors and the type of gear I am referring too, as well.
Is it possible to implement this in the new app somehow?
Considering the maximum they can both hold, is 50 instruments, it seems like it would be a cool thing to have available in a sub menu of a watchlist. Just an idea anyway. Cheers
First, some context: As we now have all of our apps (phones, tablets and web) based on the same codebase, any new functionalities/features will be implemented for all apps and will land at (roughly) the same time. So, what youāre suggesting would not be done just for the web app; it would also benefit mobile. We have feature parityānow and forever.
